HelenParticipantMartin
they are all fabulous shots, and I am having difficulty in chosing a favourite.
No 18 cracks me up, :D :D but they are all great people shots.
That is just fantastic work.
Makes me wish I was there.
jb7ParticipantGreat set Martin,
thanks for sharing!Hope to see those square ones soon-
As you said,
probably too many to comment individually-You did go barefoot, right?
j
Alan RossiterParticipantOutstanding set Martin. The transmission by RTE could not have captured the atmosphere better than this selection. I won’t go down the road of picking a favourite – it’d suggest the others are inferior in some way.
I thought by your shot across the wheatfield a few days ago that we’d lost you to colour…welcome back!Alan.
RobMemberWonderful set Martin, more documentary than street as a series.
Far too many as mentioned to comment on individually, but I will go
so far as to say that numbers 2, 7, 10, 15, 21 and 22 are outstanding…Rob.
MartinParticipantThanks for the feedback folks
Helan: Thanks for the nice words you should give it a go next year, last Sunday of July:-)
jb7: Hopefully some of the square ones come out, think I should have about 2 or 3 good square ones but i’ll wait and see. As for Barefoot of course I did:-) did you not see my feet above in no 4 (only joking are you mad)
irishwonkafan: Colour is something i dabble in every now and again, I am B&W person at heart
Rob: Would agree that they are possibly more documentary, wasn’t sure where to post them, I normally post these type of shots to the street section in the past so just did the same
Thanks again all, was a great day and to hear you liked them is really nice:-)

ShutrBugMemberWonderful set martin, really strong.
I will agree with the others, there is too many graet images in the set to pick a favourite except that number 10 with the clew bay drumlins visible in the background kinda got me simply because sometimes i find it is possible to forget how beautiful your own “backyard” can be when you pass it every day so that it becomes routine.
Thanks for sharing….Punk RockMemberjessthespringerParticipantGreat work Martin, all fab! I was thinking they were your feet in no.4, but if they are not, how did you get the angle? Must have been sitting on their shoulders!!
I’m dying to see the square pictures as well!!Sinead.
Edit: Maybe not on the shoulders now that I look at it again, maybe with your head stuck between their knees?
ossie13ParticipantMartin excellent set……….as already said hard to pick a fav but 2,7,10 & 14 would head my list very closely followed by the rest!!
Cheers Steve
GfoxParticipantSome brilliant shots there.. love 7 below.. Really well composed.. Overall a great series of shots that gives a real feel for the day.
steelydanParticipantGreat series and have to say 7below is my fav. because of the angle of the ground and the struggle to two men are under.
summerdreamnMemberthis is a wonderful set. very strong and i agree that it’s more documentary than street. congratulations on the great photos and for braving the crowds and the hike.
i’ve only ever been once and didn’t get further than the car park. i know someone who went this weekend and his car was stolen by travellers when he got back down! gards found it a few miles away though.MartinParticipantPunk Rock: Well now you have, last sunday of July each year, you should give it a go next year, great for buring off the sins
Jess the Springer: No im afraid I am to much of a wimp to do it barefoot. There was a bit of a traffic jam at one stage and the guy in front of me was barefooted so I asked if could take a picture of his feet, he said yes so was able to lean forward and get a shot from above, glad I asked him as i like the shot. Hopefully the square shots come out alright, will develop one of the roles tonight hopefully
Thanks ShutrBug, ossie13, Gfox, steelydan, summerdreamn (sorry to hear about your friends car)
Thanks again all

Its an excellent series, its very interesting.
My own favourite by some distance is number 10, my favourite ‘profile’ shots are 14, 17 and 21.
As a matter of interest, how easy or otherwise was it to take these photos? Did people mind being photographed? Or did they notice?
Again, super series. My uncle used to walk it every year barefoot, he’s nearly 90 now so hasn’t been there for a while. From memory its not an easy climb.
