    Dave I think you’re doing that lens great justice. the grasshopper (possibly male common green?) shots could hardlay have been taken with anything else. I’m really impressed with the DOF at that level of magnification. The damselfly (female common blue damselfly if you are interested) must have taken some stalking – even more impressed that you were able to get round the front and the side without it lifting off.

    Thanks for the IDs on these. I was about to google them. :)

    The Damselfly was really easy to stalk. I find them much easier to approach than Dragons. The focus distance of this lense lifesize is 4 inches. I didn’t really expect to get a shot. I was even able to get my fingers onto the fern leaf she stood on and turn it for the side shot. :lol: I got four shots in all. These are the best two.

    The Common Green Grasshopper was hanging on to the stem for dear life. Just as the weather was changing and the rain came. Otherwise he’d have gone like a shot.

    Ah for feck sake, is there a section on Micro Photography?
