I’m very very new to this (About a week). This is the first shot I have taken that I don’t feel like I have messed up. It’s been brightend up a bit in photoshop as the light was quite bad today.

Hi Ian, welcome to The forum. Good shot of the Torc, I was there yesterday. A slightly slower shutter speed from a tripod would have given the water a more milky look.
You could bring out more colour in PS3 with level, curves, saturation, and colour balance adjustments and a little adjustment in shadows/highlights. Give it a try.

I agree with derrycity & Big Fella, more of the water on the left could be included & a slower shutter speed would improve the pic. Cheers, daff.

That’s an awesome shot. I don’t have a camera of my own at the moment, I have just nicked Tiny’s D50. Planning on picking up a D60 next month and I will buy a tripod then.

    Thanks for the tips!

(There was a load of tourists on the left, every time one left another came =))
