Not a bad effort for a first time with a camera photographer.
One small bit of advice, some of your shots are too close, maybe back off a little.By what I mean too close is that the top of hair is missing from some shots etc, you are trying to fill the frame too much. (just my opinion)
But you have some great candid shots especially the kids, The young lad with the fists, the girl with the hat, dad and son swinging around. These are the ones the couple will probably want as it shows them relaxed and doing something natural.
Over all though you did a great job and don’t worry about the exposure looks like you had plenty variety of lighting conditions all day.
BrianParticipantHi John,
Would I be right in saying the above comment was meant for me? (other thread) I think it probably was. If so, thanks. You’re right about the cutting heads off bit, a combination of getting too close with the 70-300 and just being a beginner!
Thanks again,
BriansteelydanParticipantDEMO sorry for posting the wrong c7c in the wrong thread. It was meant fro Brian

Getting back to your shots , Nice exposure in all the shots and the ones that stand out are 2 and 3 because they have something different about them. The couple are having fun and being natural, relaxed and not under any pressure. They should be happy with the results. well done

I really have to smile on seeing the bold text ………….. even after 25 years it only seems to get a little better.
I still remember the violent headache after my first wedding in 1983 and they were a steal to do back then.
It can be 85% getting people to do what you want, running against the clock, checking that the equipment is still working and the settings are as they should be, non co-operative people and odd priests, etc ……. and 15% photography.
