Block someone on flickr if they added one of your pictures as a favorite but didn’t have any pictures of their own? Someone added a few of mine as faves (the pictures were of triathletes in a race) when I looked at the rest of the persons faves they were all of the same thing…. Mens crotches! He obviously liked the tight fitting tri suits in my pictures. I blocked him.

Anyone else have experience of this?

Seriously, it’s creepy… Not the first person I blocked for that sort of thing either, I mean it’s not like I sent them to the “flickr crotch” group!!

Sinead… you should unblock Andy… he just probably hasn’t had a chance to upload any of his own landscape shots to Flickr yet.

That is really creepy Sinead. Takes all kinds to make this world, I used to work in a well know drapery store during my summer holidays and the same man used to come in every day and go to the lingerie dept. He would just stand looking at the boxes with the bras in them, then leave. Pity we couldn’t block him, but yes I would block someone like that guy.

Funnily enough Sinead..I had a similar thing happen earlier this year.

I had a shot of a member here laying onthe ground getting a pic across the River Liffey..and this guy favourited it..so I was curious..and when I checked his Flickr..like your guy..he had no pics of his own..and had favourited lots of pics of guys Butts. He was also subscribed to groups with titles like “Mens Butts…Mens naked Butts”..that kind of thing.

Sounds like the same guy to me…maybe he has progressed from mens bottoms to men’s crotches..hehehe!!

I didn’t block him to be honest..but I did delete the pic at the request of the said member who was rather uncomfortable with the idea…

Personally I thought it was hilarious…hehehe!!!

    Strange for sure.

Of course Sinead, if you hadn’t been taken crotch shots in the first place, you wouldn’t have this problem ;)
    Just kidding :)

On a few occasions I’ve had people favouriting pics of my nieces and nephews. I always look to see what other pics a person has faved if they fav one of mine. But on these occasions these people had only favourited pics of kids, and had no pics of their own, or even a profile.
What else can I do but block them? I wonder if you sent details of these people to the flickr police would they even be able to do anything?

Pardon my ignorance of the whole FLICKR thing,
but im struggling to know what shutter in talking about?

from what i gather she has blocked someone from looking at her
    picture . . . ?

if he or she has a fetish for a certain type of image
or if they just like that single image, whats the issue?

there is absolutely no excuse for images of kids for this sort of thing of course.

are we now going to post a warning with each erotic or fine art nude or fashion image
stating who may or may not look at it ?

    :?:

    Try this Alan…

Step 1 – Photograph your butt
Step 2 – Post it on Flickr
Step 3 – After a few weeks see who’s faved it
Step 4 – Will you be comfortable if you find your image with someone who likes butts
    Step 5 – don’t answer step 4

    Alan
