Dogs Bay Connemara

  Hi all, this is a shot I took last time I was in Connemara. I love Dogs bay, perfect place for a pano, which I still haven’t managed do just yet. Defo next time I visit. Anyway, this is just a basic shot but I really love the colours. As anyone who has visited Dogs bay will know, the colour of the water is amazing, its almost Mediterranean, Obviously a little bit colder though!

  Very nice picture, great colours.

  Isnt it great the way in Ireland you can visit a place as beautiful as that and have it to yourself?

  That’s a nice shot. I’d change the framing a bit, though – your composition is very centered, and the sky isn’t contributing much once you get above the cumulous clouds to the right of frame. If you crop it just above those, the image would work a lot better.

  composition for me works i think it could be imroved if the shot was taken when the sun wasnt so high in the sky dawn/dusk.

  Hi all, thanks for the feedback. As I said in the original post, this is one of my favorite places in Connemara and I will most certainly be returning to try out a pano. Will take on board your comments and see how the shot looks.
