Limerick Camera Club meets every Wednesday night at 8 p.m.at Mary Immaculate College, Room 206. We welcome people of all ages and walks of life, at all levels of photography, from beginners to experienced photographers. Many of our members use digital cameras, but we have some film photographers as well, and there is no divide between the two.
The club is a friendly and welcoming place where people interested in photography can come to talk, make new friends, and learn. We are not obsessed with competition, and we don’t regard photography as a competitive sport. While we do have some competitions, they don’t dominate our agenda.
The club resumes after a summer break on September 10th. Apart from the normal club activities like talks, technique workshops, visiting speakers, competitions etc, there is a photography class which is held before the regular club meetings. The classes won’t start for a couple of weeks after the club resumes, to give people a chance to sign up.
