    Hi,

i am looking at getting a printer, the reviews of the HP seem to be very
good, plus the ink is cheeper with larger tanks.

does anyone have any experiance with this printer or any advice on which
printers i should look at. price is an issue, i have also looked at the epson 2400
    which looks great also.

monochrome will be a big factor in my final decission.

anyways any info would be great

    THANKS

If monochrome is your thing i would highly
recommend the Epson 2400…ita an outstanding
black & white printer…not a bad colour one either.
I know in the last few months Epson has announced
    a newer version..the name escapes me..but the 2400
is still on sale in all shops still.
It has 3 different black inks and you can change the matt
black to gloss black as well whatever type of paper you are
using. The prints end up very neutral with no colour casts
at all…a problem i had for years with Canon printers.
Once again think about the Epson..you wo’nt regret it.

The Epson 2400 is a fantastic printer, but it’s replacement the 2880 is available now and we can do a great price on it if you want to contact us. The 2880 is largely the same but is capable of re-producing an even wider colour gamut than the 2400. It uses the folowing pigment inks:
8-color (Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, Vivid Light Magenta, Light Black, Light Light Black, and Matte or Photo Black)

i would second the recommendation for epson inks. Although the HP inks claim a longer life, they dont have as much dynamic range

I had the epson 2400 and have no complaints – lovely BW and Colour prints – I recently upgraded to the epson 2880 .. on the recommendation that it is more economical in terms of Inks (so far that is true) and you gotta love a BIG print :)
