I got to hold the 5D Mark 2

I was lucky enough to be at the launch of the 5D Mark 2 this afternoon over in Canon’s London HQ. I even got to hold one in my hand!
It didn’t look or feel much different to the MkI to me. I’m personally very happy about that. I’ve felt for a long time that the 5D is classic camera in more ways than one and I was afraid we’d end up going from a 60’s Ford Mustang to an 80’s one. It felt really good to hold and shoot with and the shutter speeds possible because of the new high ISO capability is just stunning. The dynamic range at these high ISO’s is amazing.
We weren’t allowed to put a card in the camera but they showed us the shots on screen.

I encountered the same issue at the Photovision Roadshow a few weeks ago with the EOS 50D. :(
