    No need for apologies :)

    Hi,

There is an SLR Service centre near Trim Co. Meath, the phone number is 046 9557151. give them a ring , they should be able to tell you over the phone whether they can fix it

Have you tried looking on the second hand market for one? If you could find one with a broken flash tube or something like that you could just cannibalise it for parts.

If it is just the plastic that is broken and not the connections, you
could try glue, you have nothing to lose and it just might work, use
a glue suitable for the type of plastic, there are loads of different
super glues about, or even araldite if you are careful, apply it very
carefully with a pin taking care not to get it on the edge. Worth a try.

Use a contact adhesive that has instant grab and a mini clamp
or clothes peg, if it is a clean break it should stick ok.
