Horseshoe throwing Rathlin Island

We entered into a very serious competition at rathlin at the weekend with the rep of PI at risk
The first two shots are of PW & KW Barbs in the semi pro section which was the most serious
And the next was the winner of there section they had the top throwers on the island
And i had a quick throw to show of my talents but was to good for the competition
I must admit Cahal you definately seem to have a bit of experience of this lark…. I think that if your last throw had of connected the islanders would have lynched you…. now that would have been a good photo :-)
I’ll post some more later as I am at work and can’t even see your images, let alone post some of my own.

I must admit this was one of the highlights
the people all came together and had a great time
it was pissing the rain and they still had a BBQ

I must admit I enjoyed the day and the locals were great…
Rather than start another Rathlin thread I thought that I’d post some of the day here as well. If this doesn’t work just let me know and I will delete this post and start another thread…no bother.
1. One of Cathal … looks like your trying to hook one on the chimney on that house :)
2. One of the the judging panel… I sort of liked this as everyone is looking in different directions
3. And finally, I thought that the humble horseshoe deserved a wee photo on its own… I am not sure if this works, but I tried to focus on the horseshoe in flight
Actually now that I think about it this thread could probably go into the documentary section…..

Damn,.missed this “session” due to seal photography nearby. And to think that a burger was missed as well!! Did any of you guys take home a prize for your expertise, or were you too scared of the “lynch mob”?! By the way, could someone enlighten me how to remove one of my pics which is in the wrong section please??? Many thanks.
