How do you get started in Canvas Printing ?

  Hi

  I have worked in virtual tours for a couple of years and now wish to branch out into large format/canvas printing. Would anyone have any advice as to how to break into this niche?

  you could buy a large format epson printer, im not too sure of the current models, and source rolls of canvas. Make sure you also have a computer that can handle heavy work flow and of course you may need the latest imaging software such as photoshop cs3 or lightroom ect.

  from there you could use your website to advertise or take out more formal advertising in publications.

  I know this seemed a bit obvious, but its a start

  Thanks Ben. It seems from your advice that I am on the right lines, I’ve recently bought an Epson 7880 which produces excellent output and then I use a Breathing Color varnish to waterproof it and prevent flaking. I suppose I could also offer introductory rates to encourage new customers.
