Thanks. Indeed. I’ve only seen a Buzzard twice in Ireland (Kildare and Belfast Lough). Outside of this location where I was photographing, I saw around a dozen in the UK over 3 days.
Lovely shot, you should come to Wicklow Aidan, we have about five of them in
the area, when the sky is blue you are almost guaranteed to see one or two,
admittedly two miles up :)
A really great photo, despite the light. I saw quite a few on Rathlin Island recently but, without a one million mm lens, far too far up to photograph. Well done,.I’m jealous!
Harry.
I saw one being mobbed by hoodies (the feathered variety) a couple of weeks ago when I was at work – at the back of Dublin Airport (old coldwinters golf club). Ive seen it on and off driving from there to Swords….. Theres plenty of wabbits around there, so pickings must be easy.
Thanks folks. I can’t see the photo on the thread at the moment. I think photobucket has gone offline.
I saw my first confirmed Buzzard int eh Republic today on the new section of the M9 in Carlow, sitting on a post watching the traffic. That put a smile on my face.
