Stunning Noel beautiful colours in the trees and sky
the birds flying by really add to the shot
and nice reflection from the swan
the over hanging branches frame it nicely
only niggle would be the dark area top left but it dosent bother me that much

I bet this is one we’ll see in February!

Did you use a filter at 90degrees? it seems the light in the trees is different suddenly to the rest. Very warm looking too. Nice.

I bet we’ll see the reflections of the airbourne ducks in February too.

Whilst in order to avoid controversy I’d much prefer to say nothing… but in the interest of fairness I think I have to post.

Earlier this week a gent, who’s name we are not allowed repeat, was fleeced for posting the most obvious of composites. I’m looking at the shot above and here’s what I see:

    1. Perfectly exposed water… but a white swan which is black?
    2. Ducks in the sky… but no reflection on the water?

(* And whilst I’m here I may as well add in that you’ve got a tree reflection in the water just to the left of the black swan… but no tree on the ditch)

So… based on my assumption in points 1 & 2 noted above I can only assume that there may be elements of this image added that did not exist in the original scene.

It looks to be a fine scene… but I think adding in extras is a little greedy in this case… certainly not my style. I think that the level of saturation also borders on the un-real.

If I am wrong in my assumption above then I shall be swift in offering an apology.

Well I don’t care if it’s “manipulated”, it’s still a great shot. However, was it taken this year or…? I don’t recall many evenings like this in 2008!!!
