    This is cathy davey who played down in waterford a long time ago. Working in such low light really proved difficult but i managed to pull some nice ones out of the gig. I liked this one alot, i think it was the lighting that did it for me.

    I wasnt using flash throughout the gig which some might think was odd.

    The thing with gigs is not to use flash. Not a bad shot, I was meant to photo that gig too.

    I dunno why people think using flash at gigs is such a big deal, look at all the early punk photos, if used correctly can give amazing results, its not for every gig but it is a helpful tool.
    I think you were right not to use it here and you got a great result though.

    thank you lads.

    I personally think using the lighting from stage works very well indoor – allthough it can be awkward if they are constantly changing but you can get some great results.

    If you’re really worried about the changing light, use Aperture priority. Just keep an eye on the shutter speed, so it’s not getting too slow.
