  Taken last April … a bit of cloning on the blue sky was needed to hide the dust!
  Taken with polarizer and ND filter …. little modification bar a small bit of sharpening …

  I think it a pleasant enough image but the yellow of the field distracts from the main subject
  Have you any shots a bit closer to see more of the castle?

  I think the yellow is exactly what makes tihs image so interesting. This is one image that doesn’t have to rely on a lot of post processing/heavy filter use to look nice. The composition is just well done, beautiful contrast between yellow and blue.

  I think the horizon is maybe a bit to centred so the yellow field as battling with the blue sky for attention and house loses out as a result.

  Perhaps moving the horizon up / down to the thirds may help that….

  No, nothing closer, all my shots are roadside. There are access issues going on at the moment with this place :(
