DeeboParticipant
Thinking of buying the wife one of these for Xmas.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lomo-Lomography-Fisheye-Compact-camera/dp/B000I42XQ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1225403933&sr=8-1Anyone have these or used them? She is not really in to photography but likes filkm cameras for family outings and the surprise when the are developed
Secretly I want one of these, so good excuse to buyAny thoughts
DeejessthespringerParticipantI have a fisheye lens for my holga, very cool, just sits on top of the lens, only thing is you don’t really know what your looking at but I think you can get an attachment for that.
Here is a few I took with it.That wee camera looks cool, one of my contacts on flickr is using one of those I think, http://www.flickr.com/photos/gary_and_annette/2966869478/ I like the results.
DeeboParticipantCheers Sinead, shots look very good indeed. Thanks for the link, the results are interesting with these cameras. I think the wife will like the surprises :-)
DeeshrapnelMemberi’ve had one and to be fair, i’m not a big fan at all, and recently sold it on. i don’t think the results are that impressive tbh, and i don’t like the barrell look on the film. it doesn’t mean you don’t get the odd great shot. i much prefer my lomo LCA, or one that i recently purchased, an olympus XA2.
i’ve put a few of my fisheye shots in my lomo set on flickr if you want to look.
EddieParticipantI have seen some good work from them, there was an article in B&W by the then editor who used one. Lots of images on Flickr this link will give you a good idea of what it can do. http://www.flickr.com/groups/lomofisheye/pool/
bingbongbiddleyParticipantI have one and think they’re great fun. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures from it in digital format to show you. It makes a great change
not knowing what pictures you have on your camera and having to wait for them to be developed. Don’t know if fisheye is a great perspective
for someone not that into taking pictures though.
