  I printed my first photograph in the darkroom yesterday up at the Airfield Trust!
  Some buzz seeing the image form on the paper.

  Thanks to Peter at FPWorkshops, for a great experience and a very enjoyable day all round!
  Good to meet up with some PI members there too :)

  Now off to search for enlargers and other such equipment :D

  Glad you enjoyed it guys, the day just flew by. Its very encouraging to see you traveling from Cork, Kerry, Carlow and Wexford so I appreciate the efforts you all made.

  yes Saturday was a real blast!
  the only downside is that I don’t have a bathroom big enough to fit an enlarger :D :D :D

  what were the names for the online shop of second-hand equipment?
  and what about the lens to look for?

  Check out http://www.ffordes.com as they have lots of used equipment and are good to deal with.

  I would recommend the following enlarger lenses which have 6 elements:

  Schneider Componon
  Rodenstock Rodagon
  Nikon Nikkor (but not the Nikkor f4 50mm as it is only a 4 element lens)

  Thats not to say the 4 element lenses are bad but with prices for used gear so good these days then you may as well go for the better ones.

  There are obviously other good makes of lenses but I am only familiar with the three above. Also check out the buy&sell and adverts.ie for epuipment.
