I just upgraded to the Dell Ultrasharp 2408 from this Apple 17inch and now want to move it on. Its a classy looking bit of kit (probably a bit of a collectors item…!)…
Full spec here:

One word of warning… it only has an ADC (Apple Display Connector) cable which means if ye aint using an Apple machine yer pretty much out of the race..! Its in perfect condition. I will deliver within Louth/Dublin area or ye can pick it up? Edit: Its now free if anyone wants it…!
Thanks for looking

i’ll be upgrading to an iMac fairly soon and will be looking for a second screen
I’ve been ttold by apple that the second screen will have to be DVI or VGA ( whatever that is)
I looked at your link but couldn’t see those initials.
The question is…………… will this work with the iMac system?
If it does i’d be interested
geoffrichiehatchMemberI’ll check for you… as far as I know it wont work as there is physically no power socket on the monitor. With the ADC cable all power was pulled through the cable… Apples big ideas….! Grrrrrrrrr….. I’ll check over on the Apple discussions forum.

glassworksParticipantHi Richie
Have been talking to apple and found they have an ADC DVI connecter
Unfortunately its €99. Am rethinking the idea of a second screen altogether
and probably going for the 24 inch iMac instead.
Sorry if i’ve delayed the sale of your monitor
all the best
geoffrichiehatchMemberHeh thats no problem at all…! I think you are better off with the 24Inch iMac anyway. I have used a
few of the new 20inch ones and find the screens a bit bright and prone to colour problems when viewed
from an angle. Apparently the 24inch hasn’t got these problems.Richie
richiehatchMemberActually…. I decided that if anyone is actually interested in this they can have it for free…! They just have to collect it from Monasterboice or if in Dublin and close to the Parnell Street area I can have it left in an office there.
