Had a day out in the Mournes today, stopped to take these on the way home. Was pretty rough and really cold.
C&C welcome.
Code:irishshaguaParticipantYou really captured the power in those waves. Not sure about te slower shutter speed, it gives an odd effect in the foreground waves, particularly in the first picture.
Love the hue over the whole picture though. Very impactful, captured the weather well.Brian
cathaldParticipantSuper Sinead you would think these are taken at an ocean pier rather than a dam
I like the effect the slower shutter speed has on the waves
The processing looks goodCathal

Very different images, i love them.
the toning is nice and both pics have something appealing about them.
well captured and nicely presented.
Alan
jessthespringerParticipantdavemacParticipantExcellent shots, particularly the second shot capturing the spray.
Really moody compositions.
Fair play for braving the conditions and getting your shot.
Dave
RobMemberThese are wonderful Sinead…
I always look forward to seeing your work; you have a style that’s
very individual and always interesting. Keep up the good work…Rob.
PixelleMemberThese are great, especially the second. You really captured some nasty weather!
Is that a person in the second one? Or just some storm debris?jessthespringerParticipantdavemac- thank you, and I have the cold now, again! Am still glad I stopped though.
Rob- that’s very kind, thank you, am blushing!

Pixelle- thank you… and to answer your question, I don’t know… I don’t remember seeing anyone at the time. A ghost maybe?
Thanks again everyone,
Sinead.
Alan RossiterParticipantTwo great shots Sinead. These are the sort of thing that you see in local pubs with the “d’ya remember the storm of 19–” look about them. The decisions of shutter speed suits well and even a bit of grain on these would be great. Simple shots with impact – you can’t go wrong.
Alan
beerhunterParticipantwow…i love them…..definately have a great sense of ” sweet jesus!! it’s freezing!!!”…fair play…!!
jessthespringerParticipantAlan – thank you. I know what you mean about the grain.
beerhunter – yes, freezing, am still sneezing!!
