Looks good Dave but would love to see a bigger version.

    Have to agree with wirepic,

bigger image would give us a better view.

Looks good anyway, nice and simple but still interesting and nice tone too.

Cheers guys appreciate the c&c on this one in particular as I was very unsure about the tone.

    But here’s the larger image.

Don’t be unsure Dave, like it. You thought enough of it to post it up for critique so obviously there was an attraction.

For future reference if you resize an image to 800px on the long side it should be adequate for the site but in this instance your 1200px does give you some insight into the quality of the image. Obviously you’ve some experience given the fact that the composition is good, the processing is a little more than a preset and you’ve gone to the trouble of framing and signing. So I’d say you’re confident enough to present.

I like the simplicity, and the toning but I’d`also consider it a potential image for a low contrast B&W. How to improve – I couldn’t offer anything concise given the simplicity of the shot other than to try it in straight B&W too.

Yep have to agree with irishwonkafan,

i lve the composition, like the tone and the simplicity.

There seems to be noticable specs in the sky propably dirt on
    the lens.

The horizon is slap bang in the middle but it is not an issue
because of the simplicty of the image.

Well maybe i got out of bed on the wrong side today ;)

I disgree :) ( there is always someone who will;) )

For me this is a lovely image… but… the tratment isn’t doing the most for it – I would loose the yellow tone, and the heavy vignette. Crop about half the sky out of the image and present a nice mono conversion..

I kind of hope you rework it and take a look ;)
