Thanks to all for C&C. Been getting a lot of ‘nice and simple composition’ lately (which I’m not complaining about :D ). Haven’t been taking shots long and am only experimenting with various techniques I’ve learned during a course with the Institute of Photography. Anyway, a friend of mine has me concentrating on composition and hopefully in time will be able to move on to more advanced compositions (if that’s how you would word it.) Once again thanks for C&C, I don’t post these up to get compliments as I genuinely believe in the people here giving honest and knowledgable opinions which I can incorporate into my shots.

I think you’ll find that the “nice and simple” compositions attract more attention than the complicated ones. This is a nice and simple image…nothing broken and easy on the eye. I wouldn’t try too hard to try to achieve complicated comps…it’s all text book stuff but in reality if you find this type of shot (above) appealing then I’d concentrate more on going with your gut feeling than what the book says you should do.

    Alan.
