Tripod

  Hi all

  My very old tripod finally gave up a couple of weeks ago and lost a leg. It has been retired for good now.

  Im in the market for a good value, sturdy tripod. The one I had was very basic with a pan and tilt fixed head. Id like to go for something a bit better but not break the bank.

  Any recommendations

  Dan would recommend a Manfrotto Tripod…..Calumet are doing some good deals….

  Would second the two Steve recommended. The 055 is the sturdier of the two, but a bit heavier than the 190. In terms of price/quality/availability, these two would probably lead the pack

  I Like the look of the 190Xdb with the 390RC2 head…………………..20 sterling delivery too though on top……….must check around at prices.

  As far as I know all Manfrotto Heads come with QR plates?
