I hardly ever click on links to images nowadays but this one caught my eye immediately. It caught it a bit more when I clicked on the link but if you had it at 800 pxels, or higher on the longest side I think this shot could be appreciated at its full glory.
If there is such a thing I think this image has been perfectly composed, the image is full and you’re kept within the image. A nice collection of colour, detail and atmosphere. If this print version is as good as it should be I’d see this as the one to beat in the landscape section of any competition.Alan.
photospecMemberWow… and thanks Alan. I am really appreciate you comments. Thanks again!!!
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantbrownieParticipantAs i have said before…i love this time of year when we get really cold
spells with plenty frost and fog….was out myself yesterday but as Alan
said you would go a long way before you would take an image like
this….the whole atmosphere of the photo is just great….well done.Noel Browne.
randomwayMemberI like the atmosphere too, well seen.
I think that the image is slightly tilted to the left (might be wrong), and I keep wanting to see the whole tree on the left and on the top, it leads the eye out of the picture. Nicely composed otherwise.
Zoltan
PD_BARBSParticipantFantastic shot, really nice capture. i agree with wanting to see the whole tree, but that is personal preference and doesn’t detract from the fact that this is a great shot.
snaphappyMemberwow this is a great shot sot it has it all I would love to see this printed
photospecMemberMany thanks to all for the C&C. I have not really done much landscape and all the positive comments have kind of awakened the desire to get out of bed earlier more often. Thanks again.
mgstParticipantplainoldmeMemberIts actually called Carton House, I know it well :)
This is a great shot of the area I’ve never seen it captured this nicely.
BMParticipantAlan’s (Wonka) comemnts prompted me to click on this image (like him, I normally don’t view an image that hasn’t been embedded) and am I glad I did. This is an astounding photograph. Alan’s comments say it all.
lousyParticipantI concur with the above, but something bugs me about the exclusion of the whole of the tree on the left… just a minor bug though.
Pat
aoluainParticipantYea I agree with Alan #1,
Really lovely image plenty of atmosphere, nice composition but I feel a bit let down
by the fact that the tree to the left isnt fully in the picture.Really nice image, great time of year with the right kind of weather.
Alan
Broadford1ParticipantReally a lovely shot – the atmosphere is coming right out from the photo.
