I have to say this is absolutely stunning. I really like the simplicity of this shot and the light (I say begrudgingly) is amazing.
Can I ask what did you use for this, shutter speed, filters etc.
In my opinion, you may be changing your best shot this year.
Alan RossiterParticipantCan only echo Peters comments. Simple, calming, uncomplicated and stunning. Definately one of your best…now I hope you got that backup drive.

Amazing scene, very calming, I bet it is pride of place on someones wall now.Not Pete the blokeParticipantI have to add to the plaudits Cathal. This one is special. I reckon it would do very well in competition as well. You are becoming ‘quite the expert’ in all of this, aided by the fact that you are doing what many others (including myself) are not – namely getting out there and doing it.
cathaldParticipantThanks Ross it’s not so bad this time of year getting up compered to the summer months when its the middle of the night you have to crawl out of the scratcher
KWBarbsParticipantCathal, sounds a bit lame now after all the comments.. but this is fantastic. This would look great on canvas on my living room wall.. and before you ask, NO… I’m not buying it. I have a 430EX, 70-200 f4 IS, 10-20, new tripod and head to get first :)
Well done on this shot.

she is reading it now!
BrickerParticipantI love it….. I thought it was the light from the sky you named it after, and then twigged the light bouy thingy in the water!
And what does the woman think? Happy I assume……. like the rest of us.

A commission?
True, though, that’s a cracking shot. Doing any printing yet?
As Ross said, you’re getting out there.
I’m being looked after by Dr. Jameson and his hot nurse Honey.
Wife says it’s a bit of a cold. I know that you’ll all be at my funeral next week.
