    I think you did well centering this image compostionally – but you should have gooten down low changing the perspective… perhaps if you go for a square crop removing the sky I feel it will help bring the centred composition more into play – and finally I might try is a mono conversion – this will stop the red in the jacket from sucking in the attention..

    Hope that makes sense :)

    Thanks for the comment. I tried to mono it, but it just took away from everything, because i like the rest of the colours, the red jacket does dominate the picture though. If only he was wearing something a little darker like brown or navy, it would fit the picture better, but i can’t tell people what to wear unfortunatley!

    Shots taken from eye level rarely work. This is how we see the world on a daily basis, so when we look at an image taken the same way, there’s no drama. If this was mine, I would have gotten dirty, lay down in the mud and really change how we view the scene. When the sky is so bland like this, try and avoid including it in your images – it adds nothing to the shot and in this case, it actually spoils it a little. Nice enough snapshot, but for anyone else to be interested, you need to work harder.. try and attract the viewer to spend time looking at your image.
