just got a new guitar, and as such, camera hasnt come out in a good long while. decided to give a go at a few shots of the guitar. first attempt at a still life object other than a building.
used black velvet sheet in a darkened room. only light was the light of the computer in the corner. as such the images came out a little blue but ive tried to compensate for that. using these as desktops at present. I already see a number of faults in the images
in this the tuners should all be orientated the same way. the guitar neck is not perpendicular to the camera also, which would have given a much better shot. apart from that im happy enough with this one.
in this one i tried to replicate the cover of Rory Gallagher’s “big guns” album. i purposefully didnt use the same guitar orientation, but did want the guitar to look as if its flying toward you. This one came out very blue, especially the chrome hardware. think ive done an ok job of compensating. next time il know how to improve on these. first thing i must do is get a spotlight.
