I have this and it’s a great lens. I think it’s better than the Sigma 10-20. The reviews of it on fredmiranda.com scored it very high for build quality and overall sharpness. The reason I went for it is that it’s f4 all the way through. Also, although it loses 23 mm at the wide end that fact that it’s a 24 means that it becomes an 18-36 on the Nikon Dx’s, great for landscape and street photography.
It even works on a D700, although you have to go to about 15 to get rid of the vignetting,

I think this is the wrong place to be putting comments like this,
so apologies to mtm606-
Is that as a result of testing, or reading reviews?
wouldn’t mind seeing your tests…
However, if you need wider than 12mm (20% wider) then the Tokina can’t be ‘better’.
If you want a 12-24 that will work on full frame,
the Sigma 12-24 will do it-
it becomes an 18-36 on the Nikon Dx
No it does not, the focal length remains unchanged.
Again, apologies to mtm606-
but there is a forum for lenses, if anyone feels like making comparisons-
This particular comparison has been done to death before…
Simply trying to support the original OP. Sorry if it’s misunderstood, I constantly forget how easy it is for some to take umbrage. If Mark or the OP want to delete it then so be it. No hard feelings

PS Sorry for the confusion. The lens becomes a 15-24 on a full frame Nikon.
