Went for a spin to Killarney today.
This is just below Ladys View, on the Kenmare Road.SeaviewParticipantTwo very nice shots Paul, number 2 being my favourite as I think the composition with the boat side ways looks better. I’m surprised you didn’t move the boat around a little in the first shot.
I’m also surprised not to see any snow on the mountains, it must have been pretty cold down there today, beautiful day for a spin down there. I was told at the weekend their was a lot of red deer beside the road at ladies view.
Dave.
flynnyParticipantHi Dave,
It was freezing,My daughter and I went for a bit of a hike up Mangerton,we saw lots of deer but I only had my 17-40 with me.We were hoping to get a bit of snow on Mangerton, but alas not to be.Took these just before we headed home.Great day out.Hoping to get down again next week if all goes well, maybe get some deer shots if all goes well.Regards,
PaulSeaviewParticipantBest of luck for your next trip, now you have me thinking of going down there for a spin at the weekend even though the weather is meant to break on Saturday.
Two fine shots, well captured.
Dave.
mgstParticipantPrefer the first shot pity the boat is so central love the reflections in the second.
Mick
carrigmanParticipantNice shots Paul. I’d love to be able to go down there myself but having broken my hand in Christmas Week I am, alas, inactive. Grrrrrrrrr.
nooneyParticipantthose shot,s you took are x c lent …..could you not change the colour of the rope in cs or p/shop only a suggestion. but they are sharp….
DeeboParticipantLovely shots paul, colours in first one are great but boat angle is not as good as the second shotl. Maybe a crop to the boat would work in second shot, looks a great spot

I agree with MGST, love the first shot, the boat really stands out, again pity it is centered.
The last one is nice too but dosent have that stand out effect as the first.
The second is the weakest IMO the day wasnt the best from the look of it. I think if you cropped out the grass at the
bottom and maybe a black and white conversion would work.Aoluain
flynnyParticipantThanks lads,
Your right about the boat in the first one, it would be better if I had panned a bit to the left. I have other shots with the boat in the “right” position, but the blue boat in the background is absent.
I might be back there soon so I’ll have another go.
