Great sunset at Annestown Beach a few weeks ago…again
only getting around to processing lots of stuff over the last
few days.Noel Browne.
Madeline suggested i play around with the contrast in the original photo,
tried it and this is the result.carrigmanParticipantPixelleMemberAs the sky is so spectacular here, I wonder if it would have been better not to go for smooth water?
brownieParticipantI took lots of them and the sky remained like that for a long time,
there are shots with smooth water in them and i will have a look
and mabye you are right Pixelle…still like this one though.Noel Browne.
snaphappyMembernoel this is a wanderfull image and I beg to differ about pixelles comment about slow water I love the way the slow water streaks mirror the streaks in the sky it gives the image a real sense of balance.
Alan RossiterParticipantI like it but…why not over process it to see what you can do! I’ve seen John Hooton produce something similar but push it a little with selective saturation and burn/dodge. It’s great as it is…don’t get me wrong, but it’s like a potential shot…or one that I’d love to see in a PS challenge.
Alan.
snaphappyMemberlol Alan it does have john hooton written all over it… That no bad feat though your not a member of mallow camera club noel are you…
wirepicParticipantI agree with snaphappy on this. The correlation between the sky and the water makes the shot.
ajParticipantgr8 shot love that sky it realy sucks u into the photo also love the foreground movement regards aj
DeeboParticipantGreat sky and the water is excellent took. The image almost has a motion feel to it. Sucks you right into the heart of the shot
Well done
DeeeshortieParticipantbrownieParticipantThanks everyone…it was a great evening for photography and i had’nt
intended going out to Annestown at all…i was taking photographs at an U-13
Football Final in Fenor about 4 miles away and the sky just got better and
better as the match went on….WHAT ELSE could i do but head for the coast
afterwards??Noel Browne.
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantthis kind of skycomposition is rare! very cool. i would do some additional contrastadjustments for more clarity
brownieParticipantTook your advice Madeleine…i changed the shot and now think
it has a bit more impact….i boosted the contrast by about +20 in
the cloud and foreground and it does work.Noel.
