There’s been a lot of low cloud here in Switzerland recently, and the snow has been lying for several weeks.
No dramatic landscapes at this level — you’ve go to up above the fog for that.
This is what it looks like near us

    Very eerie,

I like it, simple, good composition and different.

    Nice one.

Excellent shot Bertie. The tones really lend a coldness to the shot.

Tried a pseudo HDR. Is it an improvement?

I prefer #1, it’s more mysterious, there is too much clarity the second one.

I’d prefer the second, adds to the shot and removes that black patch from the bottom left :)

I would definately prefer the second shot as well…its
    just a lovely image.

Personally i’d leave the top, this is an excellent image. I prefer the second one too, although the sun could be just a tad too bright. Beautiful image though, what was it shot with?

the secret is the “golden section”.
Tree and earth are one section, sky is the other section. 2:1

Otherwise: for Travelmagazines those kind of images are perfect because there is looads of room to put text on it. But i guess you would like to use it for fine-art prints.?!

    Thanks all for the comments.
    Shot with Canon 5D, 24-105 lens at 55mm, f/5.6 1/250, ASA = 100
Raw processed in Lightroom 2.2, slight crop to right side [unwanted bush], not quite on golden section [LR sets this up] — the sun is a bit low and to the left
Denoise in CS3 with Nik dfine.
    The pseudo-HDR from -2, 0, +2 variations, using Photomatix. — I did try reducing the sun’s brightness — wasn’t sucessful
Exported as sRGB with ‘sharpen for screen’ in LR.

I hadn’t considered selling it — it’s really for my amusement.
