Great shots. I’d nearly crop them down a bit more though, removing the space at the sides and really bringing the focus to the action.

Great work Tiny. Pairc Ui Rinn is a tough place to shoot for some strange reason – can often get funny colour casts due to lighting.

What kit are you using? And what did you do for White Balance? Did you do smoe post noise clean up on the first pic – looks really good for 3200? – if you dont mind me asking.

    Keep up the good work

thanks for the comments, so answer your questions, I was using my Nikon D300 with an 80-200mm f2.8 lens. i shot all the time at f2.8 with the white balance set to auto as i did not know what the white balance should have been, and one set of lights had a slightly different colour than the rest, I asked two other photographers there what their white balance was and they said Auto,

There is no post noise clean up only a slight increase in contrast and some cropping.

    Hi Tiny,

Welcome to the world of GAA photography and well done on the photos.

Also find it difficult to photograph in Pairc Ui Rinn.
Have refereed several games there under lights and its not the easiest of places either to referee.

Tiny, I would agree with Paul, crop a bit tighter – sort of “Fill the frame” with the action.
