Thought I would share this with whoever is interested!
Managed to do an image quality test on my 2 old Nikkor’s.
50mm 1.4 & 35mm 2.8 on a 5D and the quality is quite good,
Samples to follow. Have yet to try them outdoors so it will be interesting
to see how they perform under general use!
I bought them recently to replace my expensive Canons and
as a cheap stop-gap while my Carl Zeiss was away being converted
to EF.
Got them for little money any are in excellent cosmetic condition
with the 50mm showing a slight pit in the front element less than .5 of a
mill.
They are adapted from Nikon F to Canon EF and are manually
focussed and manually adjusted aperture. It is actually kind of a buzz
using these oldies and they look quite strange mounted on the 5D.
The adapter I used is a focus confirm version so when the subject
is in focus the camera ‘beeps’.
