Music distaste – what do you dislike (for nfl & JB)

Following on from Music Taste lets go for the anti-thread…what do you hate (dislike, doesn’t appeal to you, etc).
(C)Rap – you know, a camera 3′ off the ground where 2 or 3 guys with the gold deposit of a small country and some baseball cap on sideways lean down to and wave any combination of fingers at while “ladies” in swim suits move their “bootie” like they were clapping their cheeks. One question…why?
Aslan – again…why? Everytime I hear “Crazy World” it makes me want to vomit.
Music reviews – Here’s the scene…late at night, a wannabe DJ interviews a band who nobody has heard of and appears to know who they are:
“So, the third song on your 4th album…it has a Jamaican feel to it?”
“Yeah, man, we were, like, touring…em, Jamaica and we wanted to introduce some of the vibes of the Carribean into our…sniff…jammin’ and mix it with a our jazz/rock style to reflect the poverty of mans, like, existence within this cocophony of silence…man”
“Yeah…cool”And don’t get me started on Sinatra…

Sad, lonely, Heartbreak S***e aimed at Teenagers, you know boy bands and the like.
Techno played by the 16 y/o petrol heads and grown men who hav’nt grown up.

anything that is produce by any of these televised karaoke contest winners

Hating is shorthand for something, but I don’t know what it is just now-As with any genre, there will be good examples and bad examples-
and as they all contain discrete works,
I can’t see the point in dismissing whole tranches for the sake of general prejudices.Within the categories already listed, I can think of several excellent examples;
part of the difficulty in dismissing things in general
is opening yourself to the possibility of having the conversation degenerate into a

I hate both Country and Western… where have I heard that joke before? :)
Hate boyband tripe altogether….and their offspring, the xfactors and pop idols of this world.
I don’t particularly like rap…although there is a place for some intelligent stuff (Eminem’s first 2 albums are brilliant)
I dislike Reggae…just stupid…I just don’t get it.
I bloody well hate Christmas Songs.
My two most hated songs of all time are Do They Know Its Christmas? and With a Little Help from my Friends by the Beatles…though probably ruined by Wet Wet Wet.
Oh, I hate Wet Wet Wet. Ireland hating backstard.
Lastly, the most overrated and over played song in the world is The Fairy Tale of New York. Does my head in it does.
JB – Music that makes my ears bleed (metaphor) I hate…I’ll turn it off. Shall we translate “Hate” for dislike, uninterested in, have no time for, would rather stick pins in our eyes than listen to…the list could be endless but let’s not get tied up in symantics. Substitute your own word for “Hate” and get on with it…
