Snow on the Vee Mountains

These shots were taken on 4th Feb 09 on the Knockmealdown Mountains (the Vee). Any C&C welcome, please.
Of these, the first stands out for me.
Don’t think the snowman particularly helps the second.
Fair play for driving up there, looks like treacherous conditions.
Thanks for the comments Liam – The roads were bad but the scenery was breath taking. I crawled at about 10 mph and was lucky that there was almost no traffic around. I took holidays from work to go to the Vee. It was worth every minute. I got around 250 shots in all. I might get rid of the snowman in the second pic by cloning in PS.
AliceVery nice Alice, well done for getting up there as Liam said. Number two is very nice and would certainly look great without the snowman.

The first one stands out for me too. When I saw it I said to myself “Jaysus, that road must be deadly!”. When a photo can convey that it must be doing something right.
Thank you for all of your comments. Ballyman – Yes I did PS the first 2 shots. Take a look at the original below and also another pic of the dangerous road, which was not photoshopped.
Alicethe PSd snowstorm road might not be a favourite of purists
but it does add drama that the original doesnt conveyWould like to see the first on a nice sunny summers day too for comparison . . . Just an idea
