Was pretty bored last night so I tried out my new macro extension tube with the aid of a bedside lamp as a light source. Shot was taken handheld (I know I should use the tripod) and has not been edited in anyway only resized for posting. Anybody any ideas on how to improve here?
I was thinking of buying a “macro slide rail”, seen ’em on Ebay and they look good.
I was originally tryin to copy your original idea but failed drastically. I will give it another go though . . . Cheers for the edit, I appreciate it too, thanks!
It looks pin sharp. So well done on that. Getting focus right at that distance isn’t easy.
The white paper has confused the camera and it is underexposed by a couple of stops. The edit by slang61 has helped to brighten it. Next time, when you’re shooting something white, try dialling in 1 or more stops of exposure compensation.
