excellent set there is something about the emtyness that makes it seem sadder if that were possible the second shot conveys so much.
I had not seen the gallows before which seems so small a punishment for all that had gone before. someday I would like to visit here partly from a selfish photographic point of view and secondly I believe its something you should do.

It really puts things (life) into perspective, as myself and my friend where
complaining about being hung-over, hungry (missed breakfast), and cold,
but when you get there and walk around and see what went on in these
places, you realize that you have nothing to complain about compared
to the living hell that the men, women and children suffered in all of
these camps.Regards

However for me I would like to see the whole set with a consistent processing and look (same as camp fence) so that they tie together as a documentary set. I think thats important.
Compositionally and subject matter in each shot is well done, however i don’t like what you’ve done with the processing of these images.. These are documentary shots of an incredibly sensitive subject, to process them up like you’ve done i think is just wrong from a documentary perspective and subject matter. The very minimal post editing should be done with these images. Photographing Auschwitz & Birkenau is an incredibly sensitive subject in itself for this very reason, the people running the museum will tell you this.
I agree with what is been said about the processing of the shots. I have redone them to give a more consistent look.

Very lucky (or well planned) to get there with snow on the ground, makes the place seem all that much more harrowing imo.
Great shots.
Excellent series of images – I could feel a chill when viewing – especially the “Gallows” image. The snow really adds to the eerie feel.
