Heavenly Rays Scorch My Olives with a Gummy Flavoured Sauce

Nice definition of the tree John, but otherwise I find it very empty. :(
RaVMemberI think you made this work very well, the tree being centered works well for me
RobMemberFor some here, English is not their first language…
For others, gibberish is…
Not exactly the strongest picture I’ve seen you post John, but then
again, I reckon you already know that…There’s taking the piss, and then there’s just plain bad manners…
nfl-fanParticipantI got the green light from the Big Z so no bad manners. A show of support for my fonzied friend.
Thanks for the comments.
RobMemberAlan RossiterParticipantI like it…but I would. However the little bit of colour is teasing but I’d prefer a plain B&W conversion. Not saying this should but you know my likes and dislikes.
As for the title…as cryptic as Robs response.
randomwayMemberI like it. I can imagine a series with similar style of different lonely trees… they would hang well together on a wall.
What’s up with the title though?
nfl-fanParticipantThe title? What’s so important about the title? It’s totally random in an obscure sort of way
I hope nobody is going to get upset about it.
piusno1MemberI like It, the composition is fine, maybe a slightly tighter crop all round with a colour boost or maybe desaturate to B/W and increase tone I think It needs a Little lift.
Joe
Poulet et Lait…MemberNicely composed shot. I’d probably make the image a little smaller though for screen viewing?
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantGreat image…..interesting contrast between your post and your profile pic, a bored view on beauty :D
Brian_CParticipantI love the composition in this, it really makes the eye focus to the middle of the image, probably helped by the vignette. The pale washed out sky surprisingly works here. Rules were made to be broken, eh!!
Na, sod it, in all honesty it’s boring. To me it’s just a shot of a tree, centred in the frame with a vignette added as an after thought. Nothing interesting here folks move along.
I guess you’re trying to break the rules but, for me, it just hasn’t worked. I find the foreground just too intrusive. It may work better in B&W, might be worth try.
nfl-fanParticipantRules? Wha?
I’m not sure I have any rules… other than maybe the nfl-rule… “see-like-photograph”… and “if you lend Wonka money be prepared never to get it back”.
Interesting set of responses… some like, some don’t… I think that’s healthy.
MCW – I’m glad you like my avatar… do you think I’m handsome?

Not sure I get your libelous accusations John. Care to explain?
