Very good images.
I love the frozen tackle in the first, and love the motion blur in the 2nd. Nice panning action there.
Two great action shots – looks like he was busy with the tackles.
If they were my shots I would crop a little more tightly, say to just outside the tackler’s boots. The subs/coaches in the background in the first and the supporting players in both add nothing to the shot for me. I also find the coloured area under the lower leg of the tackler in the second shot distracting, could it be cloned out?
Having said all that I would be more than happy to have those shots in my collection, well done.
Hey Niall, just had a quick play with the second one. I just straightened, did an auto-levels and did a bit of unsharp-mask on the two lads upper bodies & heads.
I think the sharpness in the face really adds to it – even though I’ve probably over done it here for effect :D
Harry is right about straightening the image – meant to say that in my earlier post.

Sean, i like your edited version of the shot, i cant say i know how to use unsharp-mask in photoshop, but its on my list of things to learn… as for the straightening of the shot…. i have no excuses for not doing that :-(
