Dissapointed with the amount of noise visible in this shot…. or am i expecting too much from a Canon 450d on iso 800?

The noise is most evident in the blurred BG, so you could probably
remove most of it without spoiling the shot.ISO800 on a 450D probably won’t give you the greatest results. I don’t like going past ISO200 on my 40D.
It also looks like the digital noise may have been exaggerated due to post processing.
It would be easy enough to mask the bird in this image selecting only the background and applying some form of noise removal s/w. I do this on most of my own for even the smallest amounts of noise.

Select the background only and remove the noise, thats a good shot though :wink:
