Accidental shot

  Putting away my camera I accidentally hit the shutter release, I do this all the time by accident. Quite please with how this shot came out though, they usually come out crap :-) The top is long grass and the bottom is my camera bag opened up… Taken in Baltry beach Co Louth

  This might be abstract I am not sure, was too afraid to post it in the abstract section in case I was told off :-)

  One of your best Martin. :lol: And I love the fact that you posted your processing technique for an accident. :lol:

  Looks good but as far as I remember this is far from being the first of your “happy accidents”. Not bad as an abstract to be honest although I’m sure the literary contortionists will make their case.

  Just a thought – this would make for a nice Flickr-elite-super-exclusive-invite only-post one reply to 10-group wouldn’t you think?

  I really like it Martin. I love movement in pictures, but this has really nice texture also.
  And, the tone, just lovely.

  I know tour not a fan of cropping, but without the bag, this is really lovely.
  If I ended up with a copy of this (minus the bag) from the print exchange, I’d be well pleased.

  Gotta love it when this happens, like putting on a coat that hasn’t been worn in a while and finding a £10 note in the pocket.

  Very good Martin, but I’m not sure about the composition. It doesn’t seem to be well thought out.

  Toning it was a nice touch, I really like it.

  ps: You are right about the Abstact section, it’s a russian roulette posting there nowadays.

  Thanks Alan, one of the better accidents I have had. I ban all those muppets from posting on my pics on Flickr…

  jessthespringer: Thanks for suggestion of the crop. Will have a play. Wont be used for print exchange, still have not decided on a neg yet. Will do a cropped print anyhow, if it turns out ok I’ll include a copy for you

  randomway: Yes the composition is not well. Should have taken my time:-) Yes the Abstract section is a bit Russian roulette and is the still life section unfortunately
