The remains of this ship was uncovered a few weeks ago after a storm hit Rossbeigh Beach, Co. Kerry.
It is thought locally that it sunk over a 100 years ago.
Sorry for the thumbnail, having problems posting full size photo.
How do I copy it from my gallery here? Regards, Daff.

This is a really nice shot, the light is very nice and the background and sky contrast well.

very interesting I would get back there and photograph it to death as if it is as old as the locals say it will disintergrate fairly quickly or get reburied by the sands.

Is this what you were after?

(Just cut and paste the URL from your personal gallery between the IMG here!)

PS I’m with Mark on this – get back there and shoot it from all angles – it’s a lovely subject, and your post is good!

    oh i wasnt aware of it, that it is new? i would pass and ignore it or is there another one? i remember that there already was a wreck? i like it but i would watch the cyan sky ( ;

    Cheers

Thanks for your reply Madeline. There was an article & photo about this wreck in Kerrys Eye newspaper on Feb. 12th last. It listed the names of ships that sank off Rossbeigh in the past 100 years & the year in which they sank. My understanding from the article is that this wreck was uncovered recently when a large area of sand dunes were also washed out to sea. Regards, Daff

thank you very interesting. so my brain was a bit confused ( :
Funny i was sitting in that wreck on the 15th, but i thought it was there already for a long time Cheers MAdeleine

It seems you’ve got a colour profile problem-
pictures should be converted to sRGB for display on the web,
if they haven’t been assigned that profile already by the camera-
that way, they’ll look the same on any browser.

In this one, the sky is a mad cyan colour on any browser that supports colour profiles, like safari-
though it looks alright in Firefox.

Good boat alright, must be some lovely textures in that-
    How big is the boat?
    it’s kindof difficult to tell-

That’s not good about the dunes, they’re very proud of their dunes in Rossbeigh-
