Eddie very kindly gave me this Holga when I bought the Diana from him.
Very nice camera to use, much smoother than my 35mm model.

He scratched the edges of the lens, so it adds to the vignette. Which I like.
I didn’t really make any adjustments to these. Just a bit of a tweak on the levels.

    Ilford XP2 400

This is a little pheasant home in the forest where Jess and I go running.

I think Jess might have been trying to tell me she wanted to go camping :)

And, one in colour, Fuji 400, colour print, something…

Very good, I really much prefer these-
Probably something to do with them actually having some resolution in the centre-

    That’s a huge vignette-
much bigger than any I’ve seen on a Holga before-
Is this as a result of the scratches?

Do you think if I bring some lenses out on Sunday,
would Eddie scratch them up for me?

    :P

That second one of Jess is great, really like that-
I like the pheasant coop as well-

Thank you, Joseph, I like these better too.

Yes big vignette, much bigger than what I get on the little 35mm Holga.
I do think the scratched edges enhance that.
I’m sure Eddie would do that for you Joseph, if you ask nicely

Thanks again, Joseph. I appreciate the comments.

    Thanks Alan.

I liked that about the second too, she kinda looks proud, or something.

Go on Alan, get yourself a Holga…

Ah I would love to and have thought about it before.

I used to shoot film a while back, long while back and im in the process of
selling all my film gear off and film scanner now, I just dont use them.

I really admire you guys here who are still into the film especially those
    who are processing also.

Ok Im going to do a bit of research and see what I come up with . . .

Sinead, I like the colour work great potential there. The right subject matter and light is all that’s needed. The forest shot is a great example my favourite it has a lovely mood and atmosphere about it.

Really great work Sinead, especially 1 & 2 with the strong subjects.

Rob – Love that new avatar, just perfect. I like that one too…

Alan – Just do it, just get one…

Eddie – I like the colour too. I desaturated it a bit, it seemed to have quite a strong yellow base to it. I prefer colour, without much colour, if that makes sense. Not sure I’d be brave enough to try transparency, the exposure must be very difficult to control.

Martin – I’m really pleased with the way they turned out. The first in particular, don’t think the same appeal would on digital.

Thanks all for comments. Much appreciated.

Sinead..did you take out the mask altogether from your Holga? The shots I got from my first roll look more like regular shots..very little vignetting at all, plus they are not in the square format..

    I’m confused.. ;-)

    Not the first time.
