I like the contrasts – the B/W. There’s a lot of interesting stuff to look at
in this picture. I keep trying to get into the detail but either
my eyes are failing or there’s a touch of softness which is obscuring
it. I expect it works better at a larger size.

It’s a good shot, but I reckon someone like Si would be able to point
out a few good tips for lighting that would help bring out even more.

I kinda hold my breath when I open one of your pics in case I can’t cope
with the open skulls or the smack references, but I like this one.

    I like this myself,

As Pete says it is a bit soft, probably intended
as the focus seems to be on the bottle.

Baz Black’s skin seems almost alive with the tattoo’s
as if they are lifting from his skin and that probsbly
wouldnt work if the image was in colour.

The softness spoils it for me. I like inkwork, and love looking closely at the details, but I can’t see them in this.

The eyes are very dark too, which confuses me as to the expression on his face.

Definitely a lot of potential, but just not for me this one. sorry.

Well Greg, I haven’t seen Baz lookin this good since the spread of him in one of the Tattoo magazines! This is great!

The black and white really does suit this, and I knwo your style tends to be a bit soft but I actually like it. It suits the feel of it pretty well in my opinion, especially given the subject!

I’m not too sure about the expression, that’s the only thing. It almost looks a little too staged, as I don’t think he needs to pose to pull off looking moody! TBH I preferred one of the other few you had over on D.A. to this. But it’s great work all the same, good job.

Cool shot, but like above I agree… the focus on the bottle is dragging down. I would have loved seeing him and the bottle razor sharp.

I’m no good with lighting, but I would have liked to see a little bit more detail in the hair…

    Cheers! Ivar :D
