Do people like the colour or B&W version better? Also is there anything I could do in Photoshop to the colour version to make the sky look a bit better? Thanks :) Colour: B&W: b318ispParticipant April 7, 2009 at 4:16 pm I prefer the b&w – the colour one is too drab due to the bad light, however you have lost detail in the clouds. Have a play with the channel mixer on the original – set to monochrome – in PS to get the right tones and contrast. Maybe even use the dodge tool to brush the sky whiter Dee shutterbugParticipant April 7, 2009 at 6:18 pm I am gonna be different and say colour, but needs a bit of adjusting, the greens look strange, but there seems to be more detail in it. rc53Member April 7, 2009 at 6:51 pm Colour for me; but you could try a graduated filter over the clouds — don’t over, just darken them a bit. andy mcinroyParticipant April 7, 2009 at 9:05 pm Colour for me. Nicely balanced composition there. The colour looks fine to me, but I would say it doesn’t quite look sharp. Perhaps its just the processing. imported_NicoleParticipant April 8, 2009 at 9:10 am Thanks for all the suggestions guys, Il have a play around with it over the weekend and see what I can do. PD_BARBSParticipant April 8, 2009 at 10:12 am B&W for me, it just seems to add more drama to the shot. MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipant April 8, 2009 at 12:37 pm colour. the structures in your b&w conversion are not very eyecatching, the colour is eyecatching. Maybe try another B&W conversion..that can change everything. cheers Madeleine Viewing 9 posts - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
