DeeboParticipant
Just finished the first season of True Blood http://www.hbo.com/trueblood/
A bit slow to ramp up but its a superb show and well worth watching. Lots of graphic sex and smut and did not go down well with the wife. Looking forward to the second season.Just about to start: http://www.hbo.com/generationkill/ but might read the book first (ASDA for under 4 quid)
Cheers, Dee
Liam2673ParticipantNot much since the local Chartbusters shut down (I’ll never get to pay my €14 fine now!!!).
Recently, Sex and the City, as g/f still on maternity leave.
As for myself, obviously one can list a thousand different movie titles, but I won’t do that. What I’ve enjoyed recently, this guy Tony Gilroy has been screenwriter for a series of movies that I’ve enjoyed, so I get one of his if i see it. He’s done Michael Clayron and the 3 Bourne movies, all of which I thought were very good. The DVD I’ve enjoyed most in the past 12 months is All the Presidents Men, borrowed it from Cabra library.
nfl-fanParticipantWatched the latest Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, last week. Have to say it was really crap.. if you combined the action, which was good, with a half decent story line it might have been OK, but the story was pure muck.
thedarkroomParticipantRecently:
Last night – Nightmare Before Christmas
Saturday – Night of the Hunter
Dipping in every other night – Steptoe and Son (Go the box set for Christmas. Classic!!)
This weekend – either Manhattan or Young Frankenstein (There’s a contrast)DeeboParticipant5faytheParticipantBMParticipantFintanParticipantNeil Young Live in Massey Hall 1971 is nearly a permanent fixture in my dvd player :)
Liam2673ParticipantSounds good Fintan……in that one, does he do a version of A Man Needs A Maid where he does a lot of talking at the start of the song?
JodyParticipantpositronMembershutterbugParticipantLike many others Dust!! I never use it, hardly ever watch TV
