Dark bushes

Went in the car for about 2 hours today to dark bushes as my dad called it. Wondering which is better, cropped or original, i think original but have been told cropped is better but would like some others opinions. C&C welcome also.

Original works better for me as the trees become the main subject. In the cropped there is too much conflict between the road and the trees challenging the viewers perception of the main subject.
