Ditto for me. I like old shopfronts too but what ruins them for me is the reflections in the windows…so I usually just go for the door fronts…

Like the colours, blue and red, very strong. I looked at this a few times, I really like it. It’s simple but so much detail. The wood, the peeling paintwork, the gutters, the cables etc…even the weed in the left bottom corner.

Is there a book of old shop fronts like this? If not, I’d like to see some kind of compilation…

I love this type of stuff.

So much character in comparison with some of the modern
    plastic shopfronts of today.

Nice even non-shadow light, I think, adds to the image.

    Nice. Well done.

Hi RN, agree with you about this subject – the second is great – perfect juxtaposition!

    Thanks for the comments guys

Yeah the reflection on the 1st is a bit annoying. I suppose a polariser would have helped? But I don’t have one anyway :)

Lovely documentary subject, there are so many
    old style shops lying dormant.

The colours are really vivid, I dont mind the reflections
sometimes they can reflect a modern building from across
they way so post a nice contrast or give a larger view into
    the surroundings.

#2 is a bit strange which suits the topic, I like them both.

it is nice to Document these buildings im sure there have
been a lot lost and undocumented through the celtic tiger
    era.

    Keep it up.
