Chris Killip expo will be at the Gallery Of Photography from Saturday. Not to be missed, photographs from Ireland all film work.
Went to this yesterday and got a bit of a shock when it was nearly all colour work! This guy is amazing, been a fan for a few years, always wondered why he’s not more well known. Definitely worth a look although I think it’s finishing tomorrow…
He is always out to surprise, the small size of the images also the mix of black and white and colour is unusual but works well especially in the book. Difficult to understand what he’s at especially the links between the misty climbing pictures and the open colour images. I picked up a signed copy of the book on Saturday morning finding something new each time I open it. A lot of Photographers were expecting In Flagrante 2, which was never going to happen.
