They look like a couple of right characters :)
I’m a bit drawn to the 3rd guy in the shop, not sure if he adds to the shot or not.

    Interesting what Mark said.
I looked at this earlier & was constantly looking at the guy in the shop.

    I can imagine that conversation.

Last week we had a Wayne Rooney doppleganger in the portrait section.
I can’t look at the guy on the right without Brendan Gleeson springing to mind.

    Nice one all the same.

This is a really cool moment you caught, very interesting characters.
Sometimes its just about luck, and unfortunately the guy in the shop is a bit distracting. I wonder if there could be some processing to “tone him down”, either with a bit of sheen on the window or dodging him or blur. But PP like that might be obvious in such a central position.
From the exif it looks like you could have opened up to f/1.4, that might have helped. The background is often the enemy in street stuff.

Great shot all the same. I like to see more of this stuff.

    Thanks for the comments guys

Yeah the third man is a little distracting. To be honest I didnt even see him when I took the shot I was just concentraiting on getting the conversation at the right point. Don’t think there is much I can do about him now.

You are right Martin yeah I shot at f3.5 and I could have gone to f1.4, it is pretty hard to hit the focus point with that shallow a DOF mind doing street!

I’ll just have to work out some artistic reason for the inclusion of the 3rd man :)

The third man is not necessarily as distracting as indicated. The guy to the left seems to be pointing in his direction and the image as a whole has a nice triangle formation as a result. He adds a nice third dimension and trying to visualize these two without that guy in the background would flatten the image a little. Just my humble opinion…

    Alan

That’s exactly the kind of excuse I needed Alan :)

Agree with Alan, it does appear that the seated character is actually trying to surreptitiously indicate the man in the shop to the standing gentleman. Perhaps there’s a deeper conspiracy here ?

Either way, it’s a great shot ! With great compositional elements (need to be careful here that I don’t end up sounding like I know what I’m talking about :p )
